birthday in review. di di!

Other than having decent handwriting, I pretty much have zero artistic talent (see the tree I painted. in college). This includes no eye for photography, though I tried that in high school. And I sometimes think about buying a camera just so I can get this cute strap. But those qualities haven't led to an artistic breakthrough.

However, I do have enough awareness to realize just how great the pictures from my birthday weekend are. They make me feel pretty obsessed with my friends. I'll let them do most of the talking...

Shared birthday :)

Like only Meggie can do, she bought us monogrammed toilet paper.

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday perfect :) A special shout out to Allie for surprising us. You're all amazing.

And although the photos don't say it, thank you to my perfect family too. My birthday couldn't have been any better, all because of youskies.

Also. I promise we actually made it to the bars. Somehow we just didn't manage to take pictures there.

here we go...

Today equals the start of the last weekend of my 24th year. I'm pretty much ready to turn 25, because I think it's going to be an amazing year, but it just sounds whole lot older than 24.

All week I've felt like I should do something irresponsible and 24ish, but nothing has really come to me. I don't want to be destructive or do anything that will impact my life long term. Any suggestions in this 11th hour?

halfy birthday!

People tend to think I'm slightly ridiculous when they find out I celebrate my half birthday. But this year, I think it's legitimate, as I just learned that the Hula Hoop was patented on March 5, 1958. If that's not reason to celebrate, I really don't know what is.

Happy birthday Hula Hoop!

Cheers to Skippy!

This past weekend was absolutely amazing, as we planned a surprise party for my Dad's birthday.  All of my siblings and I flew in and he was completely surprised.

Considering none of us are really that great at keeping secrets from one another, I don't know how we kept it from him - but somehow, it happened.

The weekend was full of great company and great food, and my only complaint is that it ended too soon.

Somehow I failed to take even a single picture, so you'll just have to imagine how amazing it was.

So here's to my fabulous Dad - and the many, many more birthdays to come!
